Fine Art by Andrea Fabi
Artist
Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, USA
Andrea earned a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy with an emphasis on classical Greek literature (Euripides, Sophocles, Aeschylus) and seventeenth century French literature (Moliere, Racine). She continued her studies and received a Masters degree in Education. After several years of teaching, Andrea transitioned to the art world. She is primarily a self-taught artist but continues to take classes in order to learn new techniques that inform her practice.
The paintings you see here are original. Andrea's process is based in intuition, the imagination, and the subconscious. For her the act of painting is a dialogue with herself. As she paints, she communicates her perceptions. Each painting is a tiny cosmos that tells a story. Sometimes a painting is inspired by a piece of music, a book that she once read, or perhaps an experience that she imagined. It might be based on a fragment of childhood, a long lost love, or a precious friend. For her it is essential to communicate these stories, and perhaps this sharing is at the center of what makes painting meaningful to her. Thank you for taking the time to view Andrea's work. Andrea believes strongly that the paintings remain alive with you, the viewer.
